TWO TRUTHS AND A LIE: Reading Between The Lines With Clients (Room E350)

08 May 19
11:00 AM - 11:45 AM

Tracks: Creative Leadership

We’ve all been there: the meeting went smoothly, but the work that followed missed the mark horribly. With the dizzying speed of today’s marketplace, we’re forced to be better and better at listening, understanding, and even reading minds to create work that wins. This session is grounded in cognitive science to unpack how our fundamental wiring drives our perceptions, understanding, and behaviors. It will explore strategies to understand the unspoken, avoid the “telephone game,” and drive receptivity to your ideas. Amy brings examples and stories from both the client side and the creative service side, making this session strategic, readily actionable, and disturbingly real.

During this session you will learn:

  1. How our inherent wiring drives our beliefs, communication, and behaviors
  2. How to harness that knowledge to create more effective connections, experiences, and ultimately design work
  3. How efficiency and effectiveness are inextricably linked in today’s world
