Understanding Inflammatory Disorders: A Savvy Esthetician’s Workshop to Sensitive Skin
Let’s talk about skin sensitivity and your clients. In this class we will discuss chronic inflammation, concentrating on disorders such as diabetes, celiac disease, lupus, Crohn's disease just to name a few. Chronic inflammation and allergens can raise the reactivity of the skin during facial treatments and create an unnecessary flare-up. You’ll learn about the most common conditions linked to a sensitive skin, causes of irritation and possible allergens during facial treatments. The innate immune system will be explained as it applies to the reactions of the skin. Ingredient safety, treatment safety, and modalities designed for sensitive skin will be explained.
Katarzyna is a CIDESCO Diplomate and licensed esthetics teacher. Her experience in the beauty industry is very diverse. She began her studies as a makeup artist more than 10 years ago while she still lived in Poland, but she soon discovered additional passion for skin care industry. She completed an esthetic program as well as CIDESCO certification in the USA and her talents were soon recognized. Katarzyna identifies with beauty professionals because she is a makeup artist, eyelash extension artists and a licensed esthetician, as well. From small hands-on classes to larger crowds, she loves sharing her vast knowledge with others. Her experience at national and international levels and aptitude are unparalleled.
