This program will focus on the unique and changing needs of today’s healthcare facilities, where greater emphasis on infection prevention, patient safety and satisfaction, community outreach, and competitive agility are of increasing importance. The program will review a broad range of advances and the latest trends in plumbing equipment, systems, and design that address the evolving needs of today’s healthcare industry, including ligature-resistant and universal fixture design to address ADA, bariatric, and behavioral healthcare needs; facility plumbing infrastructure and its impact on patient welfare and safety; and vacuum plumbing systems and their contribution to reducing the spread of infection as well as providing flexibility and efficiencies in space utilization.
