This session provides a look at the qualifications and the methodology for performing forensic engineering services. Listing the requirements for an individual to provide expert witness testimony is also presented. This is reinforced through the presentation of an actual investigation and the subsequent providing of expert witness testimony. The session will provide a look at a side of the discipline that (hopefully) design professionals will never be involved with and provides a cautionary tale on the necessity of due diligence.
