Specifying ANSI Z358.1 certified emergency shower and eye/face wash equipment does not guarantee compliance. To achieve compliance the piping system leading up to the equipment must also be designed to deliver the minimum specified flow and pressure to each shower or eye/face wash in a facility. Ambient conditions must also be taken into consideration.
