This presentation encompasses the six requirements for proper domestic hot water recirculation balancing while considering the codes involved. The codes discussed pertain to the national plumbing codes as well as various codes which are a factor in domestic hot water recirculation design. Highlights include CDC, OSHA, ASHRAE, and ASSE compliance with Legionaries disease' prevention. Learning Objectives: • Understand the six elements of domestic hot water recirculation systems. • Be aware of the similarities and differences of the International Plumbing Code and the Uniform Plumbing Code. • Develop Legionella prevention in a building through water management programs while considering CDC, OSHA, ASHRAE, and ASSE compliance. • Identify the valve styles and differences for balancing in domestic hot water recirculation systems.
