But That's an Elephant!

It may seem strange, but those who wish to work responsibly and ethically with dogs and elephants have much in common. The challenges faced by professionals in both fields will be illustrated, as will scientifically supported and referenced materials showing divergent learning solutions to those challenges. This talk will also include science-based terminology used to help identify concerns seen in the world of animals under human care, and possible solutions to growing ethical questions and public opinion. Closing the talk will be the personal opinion of the presenter with the offering of some open-ended questions to help the attendees consider where they want their own future to head. This session will provoke thought as to how we can learn and have fun, and where we can work cooperatively with the animals in our care, despite which species.
