What really happens during an act of workplace violence? Drawing upon multiple combat tours as a Marine Corps infantry officer and extensive study of workplace violence in corporate America, the presenter will help you recognize signs of troubled employees and shed much-needed light on how humans respond to potentially violent situations. In today’s volatile environment, managing workplace violence risk is a must. In this session, you’ll gain awareness of historical workplace violence events and societal trends, the ability to spot warning signs of troubled employees, an understanding of what happens to the body and mind when violence unfolds, and best practices for mitigating workplace violence risk.
