Does OSHA allow post-incident drug testing? Can you discipline an injured employee for not following safety rules? What about rate-based incentive programs? OSHA expects employers to develop a reasonable system for employees to report work-related injuries and illnesses and encourage them to do so. The agency also prohibits employers from retaliating against employees who report workplace injuries and illnesses. In this session, we’ll discuss ways your incentive programs can encourage employees to report their injuries and illnesses, and how you can use post-incident drug testing and disciplinary programs as a way to consistently enforce legitimate work rules.
