This session will discuss the growing problem of slips and falls. We’ll explore how to control the high cost of slip and fall incidents through prevention, statistical analysis, incident investigation, claims management and litigation management. You’ll learn about tribometers and how to distinguish between static coefficient of friction (SCOF) and dynamic coefficient of friction (DCOF). We’ll also discuss different floor coverings and their characteristics. You’ll gain the ability to make educated recommendations for flooring materials to improve floor safety, and learn about various industry testing standards and the proper use and installation of floor mats.
