The roles of human resources and safety/risk management are often intricately intertwined within many organizations. They even may be blended into a single role. In addition to day-to-day employee administration activities, HR and safety professionals also have responsibility for compliance with all federal, state and local requirements regarding employment laws and regulations. This interactive session is co-presented by professionals representing both HR and safety. It will focus on the roles, responsibilities and – ultimately – the liabilities (both organizationally and personally) these professionals face to ensure employees are fully engaged, motivated and following established safety procedures.
