Brief will provide an overview of the Young Marines program which has existed since 1959. The program is for young men and women ages 8 to high school graduation, focusing on leadership development, citizenship, and living a healthy drug-free lifestyle. With over 8,500 Youth, supported by 2,500 volunteers, Young Marine units exist on or near 8 major USMC Installations and 24 Reserve Centers as well as across the country. The brief will also discuss opportunities for support to and from these units to your local commands.
