Tracks: Finishing, FINISHING

1K, 2K, New K
We will discuss the evolution of liquid reactive chemistry primers and topcoats while examining benefits and drawbacks of each. We will also discuss a brand-new reactive paint chemistry with novel properties and how it could upend what we think is possible with liquid reactive chemistry coatings.

Fluid Handling Methods – Energy Savings and Fluid Safety
In today's finishing industry, coatings are very sophisticated and durable. Shear sensitive and expensive coatings need to be supplied to the applicator without damaging the coating. The cost of some coatings are extremely high. Therefore, proper circulation and control of supply are very important. This presentation will cover techniques and processes including: high - low pressure supply; dead-end circulations systems; and fluid/viscosity control: heating, closed loop control, solvent injection.
