S40: Application of Real-Time Visual Monitoring Tool in Stamping (Room S503A)

11 Nov 19
2:00 PM - 3:30 PM

Tracks: Stamping, Welding, WELDING

The first-time quality of stampings with reduced scrap rates is a primary goal of metal stampers. The real-time visual monitoring tool was recently introduced to monitor the stamping quality in production. This presentation introduces industrial case studies with the real-time machine vision system to monitor and assess the stamping quality. Real-time monitoring tools can provide inline and statistical data to help the forming process become more robust against the production variations. Learning points: state-of-art machine vision system for stamping and industry applications of real-time monitoring tools.
