Democrats are convinced that they could gain control of both the House and Senate this fall. However, they have 24 Senate seats up against only nine currently held by Republicans, and many House seats are seriously gerrymandered. How much of a factor is President Trump's iconoclasm and heresy? Will Democrats turn the election into a referendum on Trump's presidency, or will Republican representatives and senators remind us that “all politics is local”?
