The baby boomers now flooding into Social Security could turn the pyramid upside down. Under some actuarial assumptions, the whole system may see negative cash flow by 2020. Other assumptions suggest a far more distant horizon. What should America do? Prepare to discuss both ideal (if I were King) solutions and political realities (and the consequences for whatever gap there is in between).
