Chiropractic Treatment for Older Women - DC CE (Room Standard Process Student Activity Center)

06 Oct 18
3:30 PM - 5:30 PM

Tracks: Women's Health & Pediatrics

By 2030, 1 in 5 US residents is expected to be 65 years of age or older with spinal pain and other complex conditions as significant problems in this population, especially for women. Chiropractic care can have a vital impact and important role with the management of older women; however, it is important that thorough evaluation with appropriate assessments are conducted. This presentation will provide the attendees with an overview of the epidemiology and treatment options for the management of older women, including demonstrations on how to modify evaluations and treatments. The current state of literature will be discussed with awareness on the need for more quality studies to fill the knowledge gaps.
