Plant-based eating is on the rise and picking up momentum among public figures, athletes, health professionals, and even within the foodservice industry. Whether people choose an occasional meat-free meal, or follow this eating pattern full-time, experts agree that plant-based foods are healthful choices for individuals at all life stages. Fortunately, more and more people are turning to plant based options and opting out of animal products to reduce their risk of chronic diseases, while reducing their carbon footprint. This session will cover the health and environmental benefits of a plant-based diet, the emerging trends in 2018 and how folks are getting super creative with plant foods. Plus a cooking demonstration!
