Understanding Espresso Machines focuses on basic maintenance and repair of traditional espresso machines that every owner and employee should know. The workshop will cover basic descriptions of machines, parts, how they work, how to troubleshoot problems and if needed, how to describe the problem to a technician over the phone. We will discuss some of the most common maintenance required to keep your espresso machine and grinders in tip top shape. This workshop covers but is not limited to, parts definitions, cleaning schedules, drain maintenance, grinder trouble-shooting, when to replace grinder burrs and adjustment/replacement schedules for the pump, the steam valve and the pressure-stat. This is an informational workshop and dose not feature a hands-on aspect.
