This session will discuss new approaches being considered to better facilitate the movement of seed internationally while maintaining phytosanitary security. One approach is for countries to recognize current seed industry quality management and production practices within the context of a systems approach as an alternative to phytosanitary certification of individual consignments. Such an approach could eventually revolutionize how seed movements are regulated at the global level. This and other new and innovative concepts will be featured in this session.
