Leadership is an essential component of safety excellence. It’s difficult to nurture employee behavior changes that result in a cultural change when effective leadership is low or missing. When desired employee behavior is reinforced by leaders throughout the organization, employees generate more of that behavior. In this session, we’ll look at the daily opportunities that exist in organizations to reinforce safety and discuss the difference between safety management and safety leadership.
