China’s Bayi Steel Pickling Line and Tandem Cold Mill (Room 307)

Bayi Steel’s pickling line and tandem coil mill were started up in 2005. Most of the equipment, then second-hand, were worn and failed after 13 years of production. To better meet the market demands, Bayi Steel intends to adjust its product mix and expand product varieties and specifications to thinner products and high-strength steel (dual phase). The annual production capacity is to be increased to 1.0 million metric tons. The production line is upgraded with a high level of automation control system and to produce a better quality of strips. CISDI applies the latest innovative pickle line-tandem cold mill units to rebuild the old line for achieving the designed targets.
