The QuiK-Spec probe was developed to provide a fast and reliable analysis of the most critical elements, such as carbon, phosphorus, sulfur and manganese. Therefore, a QuiK-Spec sample was developed with no preparation needed and ready for a direct spark. QuiK-Lab II is a robot-controlled spectro-analyzer designed for the converter shop floor. In order to provide accurate analysis, a high-end optical emission spectrometry (OES) analyzer is built in. This paper will discuss the results obtained, as well as time performance, analytical performance and success rates of the new QuiK-Spec probes.
