Effect of Inclusions on the Properties of High-Grade Cold-Rolled Non-Oriented Silicon Steel (Room 412)

In this paper, the effects of the main features of the inclusions on the magnetic properties of high-grade cold-rolled non-oriented silicon steels with the same chemical composition are discussed. The results show that the inclusions are mainly AlN, MnS and Cu2S.. The effect of inclusion distribution density, volume fraction and size distribution on magnetic induction intensity of the steel is not very clear, but their effect on iron loss is identified. The inclusion coarsening is beneficial to the reduction of iron loss. Reducing the number of inclusions ≤350 nm is beneficial to the reduction of iron loss.
