2018 The Landscape Show

Texas Phoenix Palm Decline Update (Room S230C)

Texas Phoenix Palm Decline (TPPD), introduced to Florida, is a disease lethal to a number of palms including Phoenix species.  The causal agent, a phytoplasma belonging to the 16SrIV group is spread by an as yet unknown vector.  TPPD can kill mature, susceptible palms in as little as 4 months.  This workshop will look at defining the disease in more detail so the landscape professionals will be able to properly identify the problem and be armed with ways to slow down or prolong the effects on palms in the landscape.

Pre-registration price by Sept. 17 - $50.00 | Onsite - $75.00
