Every five years, the U.S. Congress passes new Farm Bill legislation which sets federal policy and spending authorizations. Tribal Nations must act collectively to protect their interests and advance our aspirations for greater economic development through food production, strengthening tribal sovereignty food sovereignty, better nutrition for our people, access to business development funding, and rural infrastructure. Leaders of the Native Farm Bill Coalition will present a compelling overview of the risks and opportunities for gaming tribes in the national debate about the Farm Bill.
