This course will provide a definitive guide to Doctors of Chiropractic related to proper documentation of chiropractic services for Medicare beneficiaries. The course was designed through a coordinated effort by Dr. Steven Conway and Dr. Michael Jacklitch with CMS and the MAC’s Chief Medical Directors. This course is simultaneously being provided to the MAC claims reviewers to ensure all parties fully understand what is required for documentation of medical necessity. The results of this course have leveled the playing field and demonstrated significant and recorded decreases in the chiropractic documentation error ratio.
