This symposium will provide an overview of the legal requirements related to the role and responsibility of an IEP team's "process leader" — the LEA representative. School attorney Julie Weatherly will provide practical suggestions for the use of process tools and strategies that will increase team member participation, organization, and efficiency in IEP meetings, which, in turn, will lead to improved IEP content and increased legal compliance.
