NPGA Research Project Leads to Changes in the International Fire Code and NFPA 58

The presentation outlines the two-year study of cylinder impact protection conducted by the NPGA Cylinder Exchange Council. It includes a review of past vehicle impact protection codes, videos of full-scale collisions into cylinder exchange cabinets, and the results of the study. We will also discuss recent changes made to vehicle impact protection requirements included in the 2017 edition of NFPA 58 and the 2015 edition of the International Fire Code as a result of the project.
