Today's bobtails last longer and work harder than ever before. Salt and other road treatment chemicals aggressively corrode steel, aluminum and electrical systems. Hydro testing periods have been extended for certain bobtails, and service intervals for other components are being stretched. These factors increase the potential for unexpexcted down-time and increased repair costs.
