Dr. Erik Hanson, assistant professor of agribusiness and applied economics at North Dakota State University, studied occupational safety at agribusiness retailers while completing a PhD at the University of Minnesota. In this session, he will provide a summary of current occupational safety academic literature, with an emphasis on the agribusiness sector. A discussion of the speaker’s unique (recent) research on occupational safety at agribusiness retailers in the upper Midwest will also be discussed. Potential applications and insights for safety leaders will be outlined.
