With new Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) regulations in place, the grain industry can expect an increase in Food and Drug Administration (FDA) inspections. This session will provide an explanation of the forms FDA auditors use, aspects they look for in a facility and what qualifications a competent technician is required to have. Managers, supervisors and quality/safety directors will also benefit from learning the rights companies have throughout the inspection process and what samples and documents auditors can take. The presenter, Perry Nettles, is Vice President of Operations at Food Protection Services and is an Associate Certified Entomologist.
