This paper is a follow-up to one given at the AWEA O&M conference in 2016, which highlighted the advantages of using a TDI-style mainshaft bearing in place of an SRB for 3 and 4-point mount turbine designs. In cooperation with NextEra, one these bearings has been installed and tested at one of their wind farm sites in Texas. Following 2 years of operation in a 1.5MW turbine, the bearing was removed and thoroughly inspected. The advantages of the TDI design will be reviewed and the positive results of this field performance test discussed. Post-test analysis and discussion will include: visual documentation of condition, complete metrology and grease analysis all demonstrating the successful application of a TDI mainshaft bearing in this turbine
