Pursuant to State law, the Florida Auditor General conducts, among other types of engagements, financial statement, Federal awards, and operational audits of various entities, including State agencies, universities, colleges, district school boards, and local governments. This presentation will provide an overview of the responsibilities of the Florida Auditor General, and the State government, information technology, educational entity, and local government audits conducted. The presentation will focus on and describe recent significant audit activities for State agencies, and explain what can be learned from State government audits. The audit finding topics to be covered include policies and procedures, information technology controls, service auditor reports, contracts and grant agreements, monitoring, and management of various administrative matters, including tangible personal property.
