Tracks: Accounting and Auditing
This session will address updated standards and best practices for Enterprise Risk Management. This will include review of the Committee on Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission’s (COSO) updated document entitled Enterprise Risk Management Integrating with Strategy and Performance. The session will highlight the importance of considering risk in both the strategy-setting process and in driving performance. The presenters will also share risk management practices for the State University System of Florida. Additionally, during this session, we will review relevant IIA standards and guidance related to the role of auditors in evaluating and contributing to the improvement of an organization’s risk management processes.
