The Floor Measurement Committee is working to update the ANSI-accredited floor measurement standards to address the specific measurement needs of the varying types of occupancy including office, industrial, multi-unit residential, retail, mixed-use buildings and gross area, and to incorporate the International Property Measurement Standards into the BOMA floor measurement standards. The committee also encourages adoption of the standards by owners and tenants, and it provides continuing guidance on the interpretation and application of the ANSI-accredited floor measurement standards.
