Teachers in the Black River Falls School District have been participating in the Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity (SEED) Project. During a SEED seminar, participants discuss a wide variety of topics, including diversity, inclusive education, privilege, sexism, and gender identity, in a setting that provides participants the opportunity for self-exploration and self-reflection. The resultant research indicates that teachers’ voluntary participation in the SEED seminars has influenced the way they teach and has promoted an increased willingness to include diverse elements in their curriculum.
