This practical demonstration will guide you through a process for performing a basic bike fit to set up a new bike for a customer. You will learn how to quickly determine a solid starting point for the cleats; evaluate the suitability of the saddle and suggest and try alternatives if appropriate; determine the seat position; evaluate the handlebars and determine a handlebar position; and make minor but important changes to the bar rotation and lever reach. This fit demonstration is not intended to solve bike fit problems, but to prevent them from occurring. This demonstration will use several basic bike fitting tools with an emphasis on method rather than technology to create a positive customer experience.
