Possible uses of telemedicine in workers’ comp are expanding. But implementing telehealth requires understanding the limitations and challenges as well as the potential benefits and positive outcomes. The appropriate applications for an employer’s workforce, technology requirements, medical-provider relations, regulations and vendor selection are among the considerations. There is also a need to link systems with an employer’s processes and return-to-work efforts.This session will review those considerations and look at Macy's experience offering telemedicine as a care-delivery choice for injuries that are appropriate.
