DM1 | Return to Work Without Violating FMLA, ADA and Workers’ Comp Laws (Room Islander B-C)

Encouraging employees to stay at work, or return to the job following a disability leave, can benefit both employer and worker. But doing that requires care to prevent running afoul of FMLA, ADA and workers’ compensation laws. This session’s topic experts will discuss appropriate policies and best practices for reducing the frequency and duration of occupation-related and non-occupational absences without violating the laws. They’ll review employer limitations under the laws and the possibilities they leave open, and analyze the medical information employers may require to consider leaves and alternative accommodations.
