Brooke Burton will review the basic concepts of performance improvement and discuss how data can easily be turned into improvement projects that will help you provide better patient care. She will tell you how to replicate the process for your agency. This class will be beneficial for all provider levels.

Participants of this class will be able to:

  • Learn basics of EMS data collection and how to visualize and analyze the data
  • Learn the basic concepts of improvement science (PDSA Cycles)
  • Understand the process of data collection in EMS, where the data goes, and how it is used
  • Apply the principals of performance improvement process from the IHI
  • Create a basic performance improvement idea for your agency and analyze and evaluate in a group setting
