Anchorage Fire Department Medical Director, Mike Levy will review the promises of community paramedicine as well as the barriers to sustainability through an overview of the highly-successful Alaska Health Aide program which has provided an extensive network of quality care by non-physicians in remote areas of Alaska. Dr. Levy will present the opportunities and challenges of adapting this approach to Community Paramedicine will be discussed.
