A three-hour program on the history and development of the National EMS Management Association’s EMS Officers’ competencies and credentialing project. It will highlight the status of the process available for those interested in pursuing and attaining their national credential as one of the three levels of EMS Officer; Supervisor, Manger or Executive. It will also review the pre-requisites and requirements needed for candidates to attain their national NEMSMA certification as an EMS Officer in one of these three categories, as well as the competencies for each. The program will include a review of the establishment of the American College of Paramedic Executives (ACPE) and its role in certifying officer credentials. In addition, the presentation will describe NEMSMA’s course accreditation process for speakers interested in securing same for their presentations.
