Medical providers now attach themselves to riot teams. Trooper First Class William Jansen, was deployed during the Baltimore City Riots in April 2015 where 25 police officers were injured, at least 250 people arrested, and there were 350 businesses damaged, 150 vehicle fires, 60 structure fires, and 27 drugstores looted for drugs. TFC Jansen will share his experience as a Tactical Paramedic during this seven-day period along with lessons learned and preparations needed for civil disturbances.
