Space Traffic Management and Debris Mitigation Best Practices (Room 310B)

As space sustainability gains prominence on national policy agendas throughout the world, the U.S. government has decided that space traffic management will be the responsibility of the Department of Commerce. This session will review recent efforts to define international best practices of traffic management for new and existing satellites, and how to address the growing threat of orbital debris.
