Will we ever move on from talking about turbine performance? Probably not, but that might not be a bad thing. In order to continue to bring down the cost of wind energy, we need turbine manufacturers to continue optimizing and enhancing their offerings – and that means we need robust methods for gaining confidence in new power curves, usually before the body of test data are available. To that end, this session will look beyond the typical factors attributed to impacting turbine performance and discuss effective ways to evaluate new power curves and accurately predict actual performance levels.
