Remote Sensing: What Works? What Doesn't?

The use of Remote Sensing devices has proliferated across pre-construction measurement campaigns and operational wind farms. Industry trends and new standards suggest these devices are more accepted and “bankable” than ever before. Still, both practical challenges and more traditional thinking on the role of wind measurements continue to serve as barriers towards full scale adoption. In this session we will examine ways the industry is overcoming real-world constraints currently, and also postulate on what future steps must be taken for universal acceptance of these technologies.
