The industry employs many different flow modeling methodologies that span a broad range of sophistication. This session will provide an overview of typical industry methods and the importance of the meteorological features that can be resolved. Results from a recent validation study will be shared to demonstrate the current skill level of flow models. These results will then drive a discussion to explore how flow models may be improved and what’s really achievable within the constraints of today’s commercial expectations for price and timeliness.
