213 - The Behavioral Safety System: Everything You Always Wanted to Know about Human Behavior and Safety "NEW" (Room 371A-C)

21 Oct 18
8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
This seminar is a whirlwind tour through practices and principles that tie the most powerful means of engaging employees in managing risk and delivering zero injuries. In this workshop, we’ll take an in-depth look at the three core areas of behavior essential for a high-performing safety system. The first is the personal management of risk by all employees. The second is the interpersonal cultural work between employees. We’ll discuss the positives and negatives of behavior-based safety and gain an understanding of how to enhance existing BBS process or work toward the end result of BBS with employees (using a significantly different process than the BBS process mechanics). Lastly, we’ll explore the area of leadership behavior, including a understanding of essential options to fuel safety excellence across the organization.
