59 - Fall Rescue Techniques From Structures (Room 382C)

OSHA’s newest fall protection regulation (1910.140) states that “the employer must provide prompt rescue of each employee in the event of a fall.” General industry and construction have been providing fall protection training for years, but many training programs lack rescue methods. This session will cover the new requirements for general industry. Watch demonstrations on how to rescue a person who has fallen and is hanging from a structure in a harness outside of reach from any walking or working surface. You’ll learn how to rig and lower a person who has fallen, using various techniques for unique situations.
